You can watch everything on SlowMotion a new feature to YouTube

By : Sachin Kumar Sahu
Youtube playerGoogle on Tuesday announced a minor feature addition that will likely take the online video world by storm: YouTube slow motion videos. The company claims its tool can create a smooth, slomo video that looks as if it was filmed with a high-speed camera.

To create a slomo video, visit the Enhancements tool or the YouTube Editor and apply it to one of your existing videos. You’ll get a smooth, slomo video that makes it look like it was filmed with a high-speed camera. Here’s a video reduced to 1/8th speed to give you an idea how it looks:

Below is a before and after example. Here’s the original video:
Before:

This is the same video reduced to one-eighth the speed:
After:

Turn your next video into an epic slomo moment, and check out the rest of the free Enhancement tools available to help you build a whole channel filled with awesome videos of any speed.

Eron Steger, Software Engineer, recently watched ”The Beards - Got Me a Beard”

We’re wondering what kind of impact this feature addition will have, now that slomo can be imitated by anyone who uploads videos to YouTube. There will definitely be a surge of such videos at first, but will the overall popularity stay at the new high, will it fall back down to its current level, or will it hit a new low?

Google seems to think this is a good thing: “What’s the best way to make slomo better? Let everyone make their own slomo video on YouTube.”
If you’re wondering, YouTube currently also offers the following enhancements:
  1. Auto-fix: Performs a one click-fix to enhance the video’s lighting and color.
  2. Lighting and color: To manually adjust lighting and color, click the icon next to Auto-fix to open a panel of controls.
  3. Stabilize: Adjusts the video to correct any shakiness.
  4. Trim: Clip parts off the beginning and/or end of your video.
  5. Filters: The left side of the page shows pre-set color filters that you can apply to your video to give them a stylish and unique look.
  6. Face blurring: Protect the anonymity of people in your video.
You’ll notice that none of these are based on a specific type of video, however, so today’s feature addition is arguably the most interesting yet.

Google is moving all Buzz post to its Drive on july 17 after a year of its shutdown

By : Sachin Kumar Sahu

Google Buz PicGoogle’s former try on a social network, Buzz, has gone through a slow, painful death behind closed doors, and it seems as if Google has finally decided to officially pull the plug on the service. After being unavailable to the general public for a year, Google announced on Saturday that all Google Buzz posts will be moved to Google Drive.

Back in February 2010, Google launched Buzz, perhaps a precursor to Google+, and was a service that the company hoped would bring you the news and keep the chatter to a minimum.

More than a year later, Google Buzz was shuttered and company Vice President of Product Bradley Horowitz said at the time that the lessons that Google learned from the products short existence would be used in other services like Google+.
Google says that it will transition all user data from Buzz over to Google Drive till July 17th — none of which will count against a user’s storage limit. The first set of files are private and contain a snapshot of the public and private Buzz posts that a user authored.

The second set of files will be a user’s public posts on Buzz and be viewable to anyone with access to the link. Google says that these posts could appear in search results and in their Google Profile, if it’s linked to the Buzz posts.

Comments made on Buzz posts in the past will be saved to the author’s files and not yours. Authors are the only ones that can change the sharing settings of those files — Google emphasizes that should the author make their posts public and you have a comment on there, you have no control over its appearance. The company’s response to any reaction: delete your Buzz content now if you don’t want that to happen.

Google says all Buzz files will be treated “the same as any other Drive file”, meaning that they can be downloaded, updated, or deleted.

If you’re interested in finding out what you’ve shared or commented on, you can do so by going to your Google profile page.

Google adds ‘Reset profile settings’ feature to Chromium which will to fix issues and clean up changes made by malware

By : Sachin Kumar Sahu
This means that by using the “Reset profile settings” users can revert any changes that were made to their browser either by themselves or by malware, The Next Web reports.
All settings are reset to their original state, without wasting time to do everything manually.
The feature lets you reset the default search engine, homepage, content settings, cookies and site data, as well as the extensions that were added to the browser.
We can assume that the list will change, with a possible future version allowing users to choose in more detail what they want to reset and what to keep the same.
Google has been ramping up its efforts to fight malware targeting Chrome, apps and extensions.
Chromium is the open source Web browser project that shares much of the same code as Google Chrome. Google often adds new features there first.

Keep History For Things You’ve Copied Or Moved

By : Sachin Kumar Sahu
How many Control/Command + C (copy) you do on daily basis with your computer? I did at least 250 times a day, just to transfer small little data from one place to another for Eg. When we do chat and we want to send the URL of the site to a friend we copy the URL. Here’s the limitation – the normal Control/Command + C only allows you to hold the latest copy of information in clipboard, the rest are all replaced whenever you re-use the function.
Have you ever copied an URL or little piece of content but couldn’t remember because you’ve re-used the Control/Command + C?
ControlC will solve your problem. Anytime you copy a text content with the Control/Command + C shortcut, ControlC will upload that particular content to their server and stored it under your account. That means you can see a list of things you copied with Control/Command + C like a history or similar.

How To Use it ??
All you have to do is just go to the download page of the ControlC website. and download the software which works with almost every Windows Operating system.

Customization Option??
  1. 9 themes come default letting you stylize controlc as you like.
  2. Star favorite items. Delete sensitive ones. Blacklist programs.
  3. Advanced search lets you narrow down the program, date & title.
 Is It Secured??
We’ve copied could be something pretty confidential, and it sound risky to have it transfer over the internet but ControlC says this:
all your history is saved to a database on your computer in a encrypted, secured database.

How to repair scratched CD/DVD or Blue Ray Disk

By : Sachin Kumar Sahu
As simple as applying toothpaste on scratched surface, rinse disc with water and dry it are able to recover your shiny-ness and data? It’s really quite unbelievable.
Here’s a video that demonstrate how it can be done.
And If It Doesn't Work Than You Can Try Some Tips

Tips

  • If the disc is an Xbox 360 game, attempt to return it for an exchange. Your mileage may vary, but Microsoft saved about 25¢ on the build cost of the Xbox 360 by not including safety measures which would prevent a lot of scratches. Most stores have deals worked out with the distributors to where they can get credit for damaged discs, but only discs that were damaged inside the 360. Such discs will have deep radial scratches, sometimes not around the entire circumference of the disc. It could not hurt to try. (Try a few stores actually; the worst they can do is say no.)
  • The polycarbonate bottom layer of the disk acts as a lens, which focuses a larger patch of laser light down to a smaller size needed to see the track on the data layer. This lets the laser look through some small imperfections on the plastic surface which are much larger than the track on the data layer. Removing a lot of plastic can affect the refractive property of the lens making the data unreadable. This means that even a visibly scuffed or spider-web of scratches may play well because, though the defects are visible to your eye, the laser sees around/through them. This is why waxing can help. A repair does not have to look perfectly polished to work.
  • Deep gouges are not repairable. However, because of the way redundancy is used in the data on the disc and the way the data are distributed along the spiral track, cleaning a disc area away from a scratch can improve data recovery; a number of smaller defects distributed along the track can be as bad or worse than one larger defect.
  • It is a good idea to create a backup of any data disc before damage occurs.
  • If it still does not work after you tried everything, use it as a coaster for your beverages.
  • A number of CD cleaning and repair kits are available for sale, but many users report that these do not work any better than Brasso, and they’re far more expensive.
  • With Xbox 360 discs, if you use one of the temporary methods, you can install the game to the hard drive by going to the game library, clicking on the game, then install game. This doesn't always work, as the Xbox has to access the disc to verify it as legitimate.
  • Practice repairing scratched CD's that you do not care much about before you set out to repair your favorites.
  • You can buy a disc scratch remover from most game stores. It works for all types of CD's with a light level of scratches.
  • To remove deep or stubborn scratches quickly, try using a dry "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser". This is a sponge impregnated with a micro abrasive. Use light pressure, wiping from the center of the disk to the outside edge just as described with other polishing methods. The repaired area can be buffed until shiny using the other polishing or waxing techniques described.
  • If a CD is scratched but continues to play correctly, make a backup, but do not bother trying to repair it yet.
  • Tracks on a musical CD go from the inside to the outside of the disc. Thus, scratches in the shape of a concentric circle causes the most damage due to the interruption of many consecutive data bits. This means that the Reed-Solomon error correction algorithm could fail to apply guesses and generate the missing data.
  • Use a quality CD drive from a desktop computer. If you are trying to read a dual layer disc or scratched disc with a front loaded (slip in) CD drive, you can pretty much forget about getting a good read. These drives are notorious for having poorly calibrated/calibrating lasers and are practical useless for anything but brand new CD's. This has been documented by many a repair technician.
  • Severely damaged CDs may not be repairable. Very deep scratches and cracks that reach the CD's foil may render a CD forever useless. It does not take much to damage a CD. As a matter of fact, the Disc Eraser utilizes this principle to render CD's and DVD's unreadable, which is useful to have if you want to get rid of sensitive discs.
  • If all else fails, you could always take it to your nearest video/gaming store to repair it.

Google was breached by chinese hacker and they stole some sensitive data

By : Sachin Kumar Sahu
Quoting current and former government officials
That the aim of the extensive hacker attacks on Google in late 2009 was to spy on US counterintelligence information. According to the newspaper, the hackers gained access to a database which contained information about Google Gmail accounts that had surveillance orders on them.
Apparently, the thousands of orders included classified ones from a US federal court that approves surveillance on foreign targets such as spies, diplomats and suspected terrorists. The report quotes one official as saying that the attackers could have used this information to warn Chinese agents who had attracted the US authorities' attention, enabling them to take steps to destroy information and get people out of the country. According to the official, the Chinese could also have sought to deceive US intelligence officials by conveying false or misleading information.

When Google disclosed the discovered attacks in early 2010, the company said that the attack mainly targeted the email accounts of Chinese human rights activists. There was no information about a breach of a database that contained court orders. The Washington Post says that, even now, it remains unclear how much information the hackers actually obtained. Reportedly, a high-ranking Microsoft executive said only weeks ago that attackers had, at around the same time, also searched the company's servers for information on accounts that had a surveillance order on them.

Both Google and the FBI reportedly declined to comment on the newspaper article. In 2010, China denied any involvement in the hacker attacks. Instead, the country said that China itself had been the victim of the most extensive hacker attacks.
